A teacher, Priscilla Davo Ortega, 27, was suspended from teaching art and Spanish at Danesfield Church of England middle school in Williton, Somerset, for purportedly silencing pupils making noise in an art lesson by putting sticky tape across their lips.
Many pupils had bleeding lips.Thomas Bradbury, 10, had this to say:
“She put Sellotape on our mouths just because we were talking. Some people had really a bad rash afterwards.”
The head of the school Ian Bradbury, confirmed the incident and the suspension of the teacher.
Stacey Bradbury, 28,from Watchet, Somerset said:
“She was disgusted, shocked, traumatised by Miss Ortega’s actions.”
