A Nigerian man has been arrested in Nigeria for allegedly padlocking his four year old son’s mouth to stop him from screaming while he killed him.

Chris Elvis, 30, is reported to have accused Godrich of being an “Ogbanje” or “child of evil”.

Godrich was blamed for his father`s ill-fortune in recent days.

Court documents state on February 10, Elvis beat up his son, before he used a hot iron to burn him all over his body and then locked him in a plastic drum, according to the International Business Times.

He then allegedly put the padlock on his mouth before he was beaten to death.

The murder took place in the Meiran area of Lagos, the port and the most populous city of Nigeria.

On her return home, boy’s mother found her son, she immediately called police.

It is understood that Elvis tried to act mentally ill when he was arrested, but the authorities said his condition was normal.
Elvis is still in custody facing murder charges.
