Lilongwe, Malawi. – (News of The South) – Malawi Congress Party (MCP), the country’s main opposition party has called on Malawians to chase European Union (EU) officials who are set to present a report of the 2019 May elections today.
“I urge you all Malawians to come out in large numbers to welcome these stupid whites, we need to beat them up and remind them that Malawi is not their home. We vehemently say no to their cooked up stupid report,” said Ezekiel Ching’oma deputy spokesperson for MCP.
In their preliminary report, the EU indicated that there was no rigging in the Malawi polls although the ground for campaigning was not levelled.
The move has not been positively welcomed by the opposition as the courts are yet to give a ruling on the election which the MCP is contesting.
Earlier this week, some Malawians went in arms with the United States’ First Lady Melania Trump on social media after she posted on Facebook, “after my trip to Africa, a member of our advance team raised money on her own time to get a new classroom built for the Chipala Primary School in Lilongwe, Malawi.”
Some Malawians criticized the design of the classroom citing, that its outdated and lowly.
