Zimbabwe. (News Of The South) – Lack of traffic law enforcements on zebra crossings in Zimbabwe has been on-going over a long period of time now putting the lives of pedestrians at great risk.
An investigation by the Photojournalist has revealed that many motorists in the country violate zebra crossing regulations.
In most cases, pedestrians scurry for safety when they pass through zebra crossings. An observation by the photojournalist at zebra crossings in the Central Business District (CBD) in Harare has revealed that most of the violations are committed by commuter omnibus drivers. ‘A cross it at your own risk attitude has been adopted by most drivers.’
The investigation has also revealed that traffic law enforcement agents are lax or have totally forgotten to policy and enforce the regulations.
