After 13 years of waiting, the province of Equateur finally hosted the 9th session of the Conference of Provincial Governors.

Opening the proceedings before Prime Minister Sama Lukonde, several members of the government as well as provincial governors,
the Head of State Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo welcomed the stability of the provinces in 2022 in the face of the wave of dismissals-sanctions that have characterized the past three years.

“Today, I am satisfied to note that despite the upheavals reported in the provinces of Maniema and South Kivu, elsewhere, the provincial institutions have regained a normal and dignified functioning”,
welcomed the president of the Republic.

The Head of State explained to the Heads of the provincial executives the Local Development Program of the 145 Territories (PDL 145 T) intended to promote the emergence of the economies of the Territories and to improve the living conditions and frameworks of the rural populations, to through massive public investment.
