Don’t you ever believe anyone from anywhere who says sanctions are targeted, harmless, legal or justifiable. This is a plain lie to deliberately mislead the citizens and the world for their selfish aggrandisement and interests. On the contrary, sanctions are lethal weapons of mass macroeconomic destruction, decimating capital markets and people’s livelihoods.

If those countries imposing unprovoked illegal economic sanctions, waging economic warfare on Zimbabwe people’s economy and at the same time envious of her precious scarce mineral resources and arable productive land want to engage in win-win free trade based on law of comparative advantage, they must immediately repeal all sanctions.

However, it looks like they want to maintain yester years minority and monopolistic supremacy over our precious resources. This is the reason why they have been attempting to cause economic implosion via punitive sanctions in Zimbabwe so that the masses may revolt against the incumbent government. This is absurd foreign aggression in this day and age of civilisation coated with globalisation.

Those who are interested in Zimbabwe’s precious scarce mineral resources and arable land among other plethora, unlimited pull factors must come with mutual respect, cooperation, collaboration based on win-win game theory, trade negotiations for the benefit of our communities, families, people, economies. The days of annexation, colonisation, indirect rule, puppets are over and we are not going back there.

We are moving forward as a self determining, sovereign people who are willing and able to engage, re-engage, free trade with any member of the family of nations, this world, global economy, Globalisation.

Sanctions Must Fall🇿🇼

How are these sanctions killing people?

Lack of enabling macroeconomic environment.

Sanctions corrode FDI confidence.

Sanctions deteriorates terms of trade .

Sanctions increases international business risk premium and negative market perceptions.

Sanctions make the production possibility capacity or frontier *shift inside to the left leading to economic quagmire, recession, rising unemployment.

Unemployment causes loss of income.

Loss of income leads to falling living standards and rising mortality rates.

Managing an economy under the hedonic hovering cloud of retrogressive punitive illegal economic sanctions is like being told to race and compete in 100m with iron bars chained on your feet. Honestly how do we expect the athlete to win gold medal at Olympics or A Level Mathematics Olympiad Competition under chains with heavy metal bars on feet or neck, How?

Over the years OFAC USA, consistently and persistently proroguing, suspending, capturing, withholding, embezzling, attacking, seizing, looting all forex payments denominated in USD RESERVE CURRENCY payable or due to Zimbabwe private and public firms, departments, individuals, households, institutions etc which goes through USA FINANCIAL CLEARING SYSTEM according to conventional international banking practices. This is tantamount to economic terrorism, sabotage, warfare, hitman much to the detriment of all Zimbabweans, our economic recovery growth and development, our jobs, incomes, businesses, profits, trade & forex inflows, BOP, stable inflation, living standards. Even those countries imposing sanctions are losing out from not meaningfully engaging and re-engaging with natural resources endowed Zimbabwe. All economies lose out, nobody wins under sanctions, so why do it anyway ?

Implausible, illogical and irrational only to blackmail Zimbabwe to advance western selfish, supremacist aggrandisement and annexation to impose an indirect rule puppet regime and plunder precious scarce resources. It can’t.

Sanctions must fall to engender, propagate and swiftly create an environment for fair, free and credible race, competition to the top, gold class, first class, distinction based on meritocracy for prosperity beyond eternity.
