Zimbabwe, Harare. (News of The South) -The newly formed political party, Transform Zimbabwe President, Jacob Satiya Ngaribvume says the country is suffering from leadership deficiency and has called upon the Christian community to rally behind his party as they map alternatives for a better Zimbabwe.
Addressing at least hundred and ten attendants, who had converged at Transform Zimbabwe‘s offices on Saturday at a leadership seminar dubbed, ‘Generating and raising a generation of leaders for our nation ‘, Ngaribvume said Zimbabwe is amongst the richest countries in the continent endowed with vast mineral deposits, good climatic conditions, great agricultural potential ,and a ‘de facto ‘Christian system,’ but despite 34 years of ‘self-rule’ the country still suffers from leadership deficiency.
“Zimbabwe needs leaders with a clear vision on how to tackle the looming economic crisis bedeviling the country, .Unless there is clarity and transparency in all the country‘s sectors the vision for a better Zimbabwe will remain a pipe dream.
“It’s a public secret that Manicaland is amongst the country‘s seven provinces with vast mineral deposits whose revenue has failed to augment the community‘s infrastructure as witnessed by the sore-sight of its potholed roads. We can’t continue with extraordinarily rich leaders, ransacking at the expense of the poor citizens, hence this calls upon leadership transformation’’, said Ngaribvume.
He called on a leadership that has the plight of the people at heart and value clarity and transparency.
Transform Zimbabwe was born out
of Prayer Network Zimbabwe (PNZ) out of a Christian network group formed in December 2013 following a convention of about 12,000 members. Jacob Ngaribvume who hails from Manicaland was elected the interim President, deputized by Pastor Reason Ngwenya from West Nicholson in Matabeland South.
The party says its party congress is scheduled for year end.
