Zimbabwe. – Controversial dancehall artist Soul Jah Love has penned a song praising President Robert Mugabe, the song has called for different reactions from the dancehall fans, as well as the artists’ fans.
In the song he salutes President for bringing independence in the nation and he blasts sell-outs, whites and gayism, this has added another controversial mark on this artist.
Soul Jah Love has became the first star to politicise this fast growing genre and many have taken it as a way by the artist to seek for friendship of political heavyweights as a way to have financial rewards.
According to music fans, Soul Jah Love is not new to bootlicking songs as he has written songs such Baba Chiyangwa in which he praises the lifestyle of the business mogul Dr Phillip Chiyangwa, and on Chero ZvaMagaya where he singles out Magaya for thinking prowess, who many think this Magaya is the Prophet of the moment (Walter) Magaya.
