Zimbabweans in the UK area of Dunstable have embarked on a fund raising campaign in aid of the Glen View Clinic situated in the capital Harare.
A reunion has been set for Africa day on May 25 at the Dunstablians Rugby Club, LU5 6JW, Bedford Road, Dunstable.
According to event organiser DJ King Alfred who spoke to News Of The South:”the main purpose of the the reunion is to meet each other as well as raising funds to maintain our Glen View Clinic that was built years ago when most of us where young.
“So Dunstable Family BBQ will be giving 70% of the gate takings to the clinic and also the will be a draw on the day and people can buy tickets for £5 and the money will also go towards the clinic”
Zimbabweans and friends are encoursged to attend and support the worthy cause.

"We came up with this idea because we can't just wait for the govt to do it for us as you all know we are the future" added King Alfred.
The will also be a football tournament, ladies playing dunhu, jumping castle for the kids.
“This event is not just for Glen Views people but everyone is invited”.
The event will start at 3pm to midnite.
The following Sunday will see the Mbare Togetherness event at the same venue.
Dunstable Family BBQ is the place to be as we try by all means to help our Zim Community thats why its called a family BBQ where people meet their loved ones.
