Zimbabwe Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa`s Judgement night 2 to be held at the National Sports stadium on April 19 is set to break the record as southern Africa`s biggest Church gathering.
More than 150 000 with others coming from all over the world are expected to attend the event, as hotels in and around Harare are already fully booked.
UFIC spokesperson Pastor Prime Kufakunesu who addressed a press conference Friday said the church was prepared to hold the mega event, one of the biggest annual church gatherings in southern Africa.
This is a night where such ills as poverty, hunger, disease, barrenness and many afflictions will be “judged” by the blood of Jesus. “After that night, your life shall be re-directed. There shall be realignment and reform.”
On judgement night the church will have two pulpits, one inside the National Sports Stadium and the other at the B Arena, to cater for the overflow from the 150 000 people expected to attend the gathering. The B Arena is another ground outside the National Sports Stadium where big screens would be in place for thousands who would have failed to fit inside the stadium to easily follow proceedings.
“There are going to be two pulpits, two stages, for the Prophet to be shuttling between the main arena and the B Arena to minister,” said Kufakunesu.
“We expect a minimum of 150 000 people to converge at the National Sports Stadium. So, we are also going to use the B Arena.”
Zimbabwe`s government endorsed the event which is set to boost tourism, both domestic and international.
Makandiwa, leader of the United Family International Church (UFIC) on Sunday said God was about to do a “new thing” for the church and for the nation of Zimbabwe at large.
Addressing thousands of people who thronged the Harare service on Sunday, Makandiwa said God had confirmed to him that Zimbabwe’s socio-economic landscape was headed for massive transformation.
