Dynamos FC put a spirited performance as they beat struggling Midlands based side Kwekwe United 3-0 in a league match played at Ascot Stadium yesterday afternoon as they kept their survival hope alive.
The Harare giants are seating precariously in relegation zone of which yesterday’s win gave them hope for survival as matches are coming fast and lapsing.
Dynamos opened their account through Jairos Kasondo as early as the 4th minute.The momentum rose in the DeMbare players bumbling with confidence and belief,which paid off as their mid season signing Wisdom Mutasa,the son of their former player and coach Lloyd Mutasa who is now with Mwos FC as their head coach, struck a beautiful volley that left Kwekwe United goalkeeper a beaten man making it 2-0 for the visitors in the 17th minute.The goal gave them a healthy lead into the match.
The match went for a breather Dynamos leading 2-0 adding mystery to the Midlands troubled side at half time.
Kwekwe United needs miracles to survive going to match day 26 as only 9 games remain before the curtain comes down for the 2025 premier soccer league season.Kwekwe United are in position 18 with only a paltry 9 ponts in 25 matches.Their chances of survival are very slim.Whereas their counterpart Dynamos needs to win atleast two to three matches to move away from relegation,6 points can take them to safety.
The team that is in position 8 that is ZPC Kariba with 31 points and those below are all still not safe from relegation mathematical depending on the outcome of the coming matches.
It’s going tense and tense for survival and championship title.Dynamos put the final nail in the coffin through Ramsom Chingwara in the 90+ minutes to seal their victory giving much joy and relief to the players, coaches led by the newly appointed Head coach Kelvin Kaindu and the entire Dynamos supportes and fans.
They match ended 3-0 in favor of the visitors who are in search for the precious points to cement and keep their survival hope on track.
