Simon Cowell Finally A Dad At 54

0 0UK music mogul Simon Cowell flew to New York as his socialite girlfriend 37 year old Lauren Silverman was about to give birth to their baby on Friday February 14..
Silverman gave birth to a baby boy who has since been named Eric after Cowell`s late father.
The birth took place at Lenox Hill Hospital, where Beyonce gave birth and rooms can cost up $1,700-a-night
Ex factor boss and judge Cowell now 54 has become a dad for the first time.
A spokesman for Cowell said: “They are all OK. Simon was there for the birth. He landed at 6.15pm, British time, and he was at the hospital by about 7.15pm.
“He was there for the birth.”
Cowell expressed his joy at the birth on Twitter, saying: “Very happy to say Eric was born at 17.45pm. Healthy and handsome.
“Lauren in great shape. Thanks for all of your kind messages.”
Speaking about his impending parenthood in August last year while attending a film premiere, Cowell said he was looking forward to becoming a father.
“Things are changing in my life right now, for the better,” he said. “I’m proud to be a dad.”
Cowell, who previously dated Sinnitta, Mezhgan Hussainy and Terri Seymour, said he had never contemplated the thought of fatherhood before.
“It’s something I hadn’t thought of before, but now I know I feel good about it,” he admitted.
Cowell had pledged to quit smoking ahead of baby’s birth but changed his mind and said he would instead have a ‘smoking room’ at home.
Due to the birth Cowell was not able to attend the London Britain`s Got talent Auditions on Friday.
