The pop and Grammy award winning rap group Salt-N-Pepa will be taking part in this year’s three day Wireless Festival in July.

Many will remember Salt N Pepa from the 80s with the hit single Push It which shot to number 1 in many music charts worldwide and their controversial video was banned from TV stations.

Three member Salt N Pepa consist of Cheryl James and Sandy Denton (‘Salt’ and ‘Pepa’, respectively) and ‘Dee Dee’ Roper (DJ Spinderella) – will join newly-reformed Outkast and headliner Bruno Mars in Birmingham on Saturday, July 5, and in London on Sunday, July 6.

In 2013 the festival was hosted at London’s Olympic Park then Finsbury Park, the first week of July the festival will be at Birmingham’s Perry Park.

Salt-N-Pepa who were formed in 1985 were one of the first female rap groups to grace a stage.

Salt N pepa will sing a string of their hit songs including Push It, Tramp, Shake Your Thang, Shoop and Whatta Man.
