Zimbabwe receives PCR testing kits from China
HARARE, Zimbabwe.(News of the South)-China donated 30,000 novel coronavirus (2019-nCov) nucleic acid diagnostic kit (PCR-flourescence probing) to assist the country fight against Covid- 19.

The Acting Minister of Health and Child Care, Professor Amon Murwira received 1,250 kits each containing 24 tests at R.G Mugabe International Airport.

The Minister expressed gratitude for the donation, saying testing is one of the main pillars in trying to contain this pandemic.
“I am grateful to the People’s Republic of China; we have just received 30,000 PCR testing kits and since testing is one of the main pillars in trying to contain this pandemic, we take very great pleasure and we thank a lot the Chinese Government, this friendship and this practical gesture towards containing the covid-19 pandemic,” he said.
Zimbabwe Government under the leadership of His Excellency E.D Mnangagwa has done an excellent job, he is trying his best to contain the spread of the virus, and the Chinese Government has tried it’s best to help the government. Now you can see the donation from the Chinese Government, Chinese Enterprises based in Zimbabwe.
“China and Zimbabwe are brothers and sisters, whenever we are in difficulties we help each other, Zimbabwe also helps us a lot. We hope with a joint effort we can overcome all difficulties and diffuse the coronavirus,” Chinese Deputy Ambassador to Zimbabwe Zhao Baogang said at the airport during the handover of the 30,000 PCR testing kits.
