Youths warn DPP leaders against vote rigging
Lilongwe, Malawi.(News of the South)-A group of some youths in the east bank of Lower Shire have strongly warned some ruling Democratic Progressive Party officials from proceeding with their plans of rigging the Tuesday slated presidential election.
Meanwhile, the angry youths have warned the regional DPP officials to desist from their rigging scheme.
News of the South present below the letter written by the youths to DPP political leaders.
FROM: SHIREVALLEY YOUTHS
TO. JOSEPH MWANDIDYA, GLADYS GANDA & FRANCIS KASAILA
We, the Youths of the Shire Valley, awakened by your barbaric acts in this election period, we write to warn you in the strongest terms that we are alert and we vow to protect every vote of Dr. Lazarus Chakwera, Saulos Chilima and the Tonse Alliance to the last drop of our sweat.
We are aware of your illegal movements of Campaigning and attempting to bribe Monitors and Presiding Officers.
We are aware of the distribution of money by Gladys Ganda at a time that campaign has been closed, we are aware of mercenaries hired by Francis Kasaila to aid Rigging in Nsanje Central and we know of the suspicious movements of a Public Officer, PS for Lands, Joseph Mwandidya at Bangula Trading Centre in Nsanje Lalanje Constituency.
Be Warned That Chinakhonda Mkulu Chidapha Mkulu Njache. Those who have refused to participate in Rigging in the Shire Valley like Kinswell Dakamau are not fools. They know they cannot stop change.
Finally, be reminded that we are watching you, following you and we are in full control of our zone as the youths.
We will guard our destiny to the last beat of our hearts. As of Mwandidya, Respect yourself, you are a Ps, a Public Officer and you know more than as we do that at Law you are not authorized to indulge in Political activities.
By the way, usapwetekese that old Aunt of yours, Mai Kulinji pa Bangula. We are watching her gates. Enter them and we will meet there.
