London. (News of The South) – The Corona virus came like the unexpected tsunami but spooky. It started like a small or localized epidemic before spreading like wild fire to becoming a world pandemic.

Scientific advice changed like weather, at first it was no hand shaking but close contact was permitted. Next it was whether or not the virus was airborne and soon after it was no close contact, no social or physical contact and so forth. Then next was the unexpected-lockdown.

But whether during the first no handshake restrictions, which allowed close contact, may have let the disease to slip through undetected, nobody knows. However, the main concern that most people have now, is whether the virus will ever be a thing of the past for ever and at most, whether life will ever be the same again. As it may, this is about the future which none of us has the capacity to correctly tell or predict, save for the Almighty God alone.

Just as in a football match, if a striker is out with a ball and the defender defeats the striker by pulling his shirt and the referee fails to blow the whistle, then the defender will be at advantage. But if the defender tries to pull the striker back and fails, the striker will proceed unhindered to probably score the ball. If that happens, the defender will feel bad and defeated, but that will not stop him trying his tricks again. But if the referee blows the whistle, that means both the defender and the striker will have to stop playing and wait until the referee gives further instruction. So for the striker to beat the defender next time, he or she will have to be vigilant lest the defender plays the same tricks again.

At half time, team managers and or coaches, take advantage of the break to boost their teams by changing tactics and methods in whatever way they can. Because when the game starts again both teams will begin playing same time regardless of the score line.

Now Africa’s poor economy is facing the same quarantine as the giant economies of the world. So during this lockdown, it is incumbent upon the African leaders to take advantage of this break and strategize their way of running the economy and use better economic tactics like team managers who advise their players during break time so as to boost their economy. But because of Africa’s gullibility, copy and pasting remains an indelible issue and will only wait to hear and listen to what the somewhat big economies will say, as if they were also not affected by the same pandemic.

However, Madagascar seems to have done it by discovering the Coronavirus potential treatment, which speaks volumes in terms of taking advantage of the lockdown break to advance their research and come up with something before the economic race begins after the break. This is what I mean by football/soccer-like half time break, to strategize or imbue the team.

The unforeseen God and the invisible corona disease have put the world and the economies on break. That means if some economies particularly Africa were striving to score a notch of success but failing because some defenders (strong economies) were pulling them back due to some restrictions or sanctions and so forth, now should be the time to strategize before the ball starts rolling again. It is time to strategize and or review some bilateral agreements and trading methods, because things will never be the same again. No economy has been spared by this pandemic even those that put others on sanctions suffered the same wrath.

On the Christianity platform, it is important to note that God blew the whistle because the devil was pulling someone back at a time when they were moving forward with their fasting and prayers and they were about to add more scores in their faith. God is the most faithful and righteous referee who needs no training and or any advanced coaching courses because he sees all hidden tricks.

If someone tries to pull you back or perhaps they have succeeded in doing so in the past, God knows when to blow the whistle and the whole world will stand still and all your enemies will be quarantined, it is a wakeup call that God has spoken so please do something and make your hay while the sun shines (Psalms 9:1-15; Isaiah 5:26)
