(News of The South) – In the aftermath of a court ruling in with the constitutional court nullified the May 21, 2019 presidential election results, former Members of Parliament have obtained an injunction restraining Parliament to continue sitting until their grievances are addressed by the Court.

Former MPs are questioning the Court for faulting Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) on presidential elections only and not the whole electoral process because MEC conducted tripartite elections and not only presidential elections meaning MEC messed up in All the 3 elections not just one.

Meanwhile the court is yet to set a date on which it shall be hearing the concerns of the aggrieved former parliamentarian and other aspirants who took part in last years parliamentary elections.
