Upcoming Zimbabwean gospel artist Fellan Chiedza Chirowodza is set to set the local gospel music industry alight with a potential scorcher of an album set for release at the end of February.
The six track album titled vimba naJesu will definitely leave a mark on the music scene. It is pregnant with soul soothing and motivational tracks that seek to talk to the inner person with the hope of bringing him back to God.
Recorded at Vialy studios by multi talented and promising producer Munyaradzi Viya, the album is a must listen to all gospel music lovers.
All songs were composed by the 30 year old Chirowodza who is gifted with a clean and strong voice with barely any grit which iswell suited for the songs of motivation and inspiration.
Affiliated to the Revival international ministries-eagles destiny in Harare, Chirowodza started singing at the tender age of six and has never looked back ever since.
She has a lot of praise for her pastor Raymond Mujeyi who she says is a continuous source of inspiration because he has inspired her to write songs through his teachings.
Her journey was punctuated with countless challenges but she admits that the Almighty has been with her throughout the bumpy road and is pleased that the dream of coming up with an album is now becoming a reality.
“As a budding artist I experienced a number of set backs but they did not pull me down because the Lord has always been by my side through it all, said the soft spoken Chirowodza.
Specializing in Afro gospel, a unique genre of gospel music, Chirowodza believes that her album has what it takes to be among the best and make it in the jungles of gospel music.
“I have been working on these tracks for some time now and have been benefiting from a lot of professional advise from my producer. I therefore believe that the album will be able to touch hearts and speak to the people. It will definitely make the grade,” she said.
The talented songstress has a desire to take her music to the people through live shows after she finishes with task at hand.
Born and bred in Harare, Chirowodza attended Southerton Primary School before proceeding to Highfield High 1 for her high school. She started singing in church at the very tender age of 6.
