Tinoonga Mawere|Harare, Zimbabwe- Information Deputy Minister Energy Mutodi has postulated that he had a conversation with MDC A leader Nelson Chamisa at the late legendary musician Oliver Mtukudzi’s funeral yesterday.

Mutodi claimed Chamisa said he would not condone demonstrations against the government of the Republic of Zimbabwe.
“Today(yesterday), at the funeral of Dr Tuku, MDC A leader NC told me his party will no longer support any
more demos against gvt.

Our people know not peaceful protests, instead they burn property and loot shops. Demos don’t pay. So we agreed on quiet diplomacy, peaceful engagement. Icho…” Mutodi tweeted.

There is no official response from Chamisa as yet but MDC A hardliners have refused to buy Mutodi’ s claims.
