News of the South HARARE – Apostolic Christian Council of Zimbabwe (ACCZ) leader Archbishop Johannes Ndanga upon invitation to South Korea by Family Federation for World Peace and Unification was appointed CIG special Envoy in FFWPU Zimbabwe, part of FFPWU for a Heavenly Africa.
FFWPU founder Mother Sun Myung Moon, who is an advocate for peace invited Archbishop Ndanga and Information, Media and Broadcasting Services Deputy Minister Energy Mutodi to address issues around economic sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe by the West.
Speaking at a welcome event in Harare on Saturday, Archbishop Ndanga said they attended an International Leadership Conference where agreements were made to address the sanctions issue.
“We had meetings with business people on how far Zimbabwe can be worked with and a resolution was made that engagements to address the sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe will commence.
“The European Union and Government of the United States of America will be engaged to which they agreed,” Archbishop Ndanga said.
He added that Deputy Minister Mutodi also understood the benefits of these engagements probed by Mother Moon.
Archbishop Ndaga ridiculed counterproductive people who are quick to raise red flags over religious orientations of peace and development advocates.
Zimbabwe was selected to host Africa World Peace Summit after six countries had applied to host the same event.
“Deputy Minister Mutodi was told why Zimbabwe will be given the first preference to host the Africa World Peace Summit in April 2019 after he supported the Peace cause,” said Archbishop Ndanga.
He added that the proposed venue for the summit is Victoria Falls in order for attendants to get a chance to tour the resort.
Part of the discussion topics raised during their trip was the conduct of journalists and the Archbishop said there is need to have responsible journalists who promote peace and report positively in a way that attracts development and peace in the country.
