With the increasing level of noise pollution, statesman K.B Asante blasted Ghana due to its failure to enforce laws especially that regulate noise pollution in Ghana`s capital Accra.
Asante made these sentiments live on air at breakfast radio show named XYZ Breakfast Show and didn’t hesitate to label his nation ‘lawless’ and weak justice system.
“Now it`s high time we had the rules enforced, if we don’t we would have a land guard situation, people would be compelled to have rascals who would go to the place of noise and throw gadgets and cause mayhem.
“It is a possibility because sometimes the noise is excruciating and there is no way of doing anything,” said Asante.
The Director for Metro Health Department of Accra Metropolitan Assembly Dr Amin Boateng has also joined Asante’s decry accusing the state of a low justice system leading to the slowing pace of dealing with noise pollution perpetrators.
