TENNIS PRO Serena Williams could be a superhero both on and off the court.

She’s not only one of the greatest athletes of all time, winning 21 Grand Slam singles titles, but she’s also been moonlighting as a crime fighter.

Williams was eating dinner with a friend Tuesday night (Nov 3) when she noticed a suspicious man lurking by her table. Shortly after that, she realised her mobile phone had been stolen.

Without hesitation, Williams’ “superhero sense” kicked in, and she immediately jumped up to track down the perpetrator. She noticed the man beginning to run, and she sprinted after him.

When she caught up to him, Williams asked “if he ‘accidentally’ took the wrong phone.”

After a brief exchange, the thief said he must have taken the wrong phone and returned it to its rightful owner.

The tennis star then took to her Facebook page to tell fans about her crimestopping experience and to encourage them to stand up for what they believe in.

“Superhero? Maybe? Or HELL YEA!! I’ve got the speed the jumps, the power, the body, the seduction, the sex appeal, the strength, the leadership and yet the calm to weather the storm.
Always listen to your superhero inner voice. Always keep your things close! Fight for what’s right. Stand for what you believe in! Be a superhero!”

When I got back into the restaurant I received a standing ovation. I was proud. I just showed every man in there I can stand up to bully’s and other men. It was a win for the ladies!
