Harare,Zimbabwe. (News of The South) – Harare East Zanu PF legislator has publicly come out in the open by denouncing allegations that he is part of the so called “G-40, Generation 40”.

G40 is a group of Young Turks in Zanu PF , which is fighting for control of the party to succeed President Robert Mugabe, ahead of the 2018 general elections.

Honourable Terence Mukupe fumed after a series of messages and articles were crafted and circulated on social media platforms against him being ranked as one of the best top 20 G-40 members as well as being labelled a Kasukuwere bootlicker and sympathisers.

“I’m not a fanctionalist neither will I become one some day. I believe in one center of Power, One ZANU PF, led by H.E President R.G Mugabe and their deputies Hon E.D Mnangagwa and Hon P Mphoko”.

“Whosoever is crafting those messages I don’t know his agenda but I will not be moved. I am what I am because of my President and ZANU PF.

“I am a principled politician who stands guided by the rules and regulations of my party ZANU PF, I was voted into power to serve the people not to fight a factional war . They should try some other tricks.

“Since my inception into power I have directed all my efforts on developmental projects in my constituency, go along Acturus road, we are rehabilitating roads, go to Caledonia we are helping orphans, projects for women and youths are currently underway,” he said.

Cde Mukupe has of late been involved in a wrangle with Dep Minister Paddy Zhanda over Caledonia Lot 1 a farm which Cde Zhanda fraudulently acquired to protect a white farmer Du To it.

G40 is a network of ambitious mavericks like higher education minister Jonathan Moyo, local government minister Saviour Kasukuwere, industry minister Mike Bimha and Mugabe’s nephew Patrick Zhuwao, among other “youthful” allies.
