The Honourable Minister of ICT, Postal & Courier Services in Zimbabwe, Mr Supa Collins Mandiwanzira will be addressing the Southern Africa Investment Forum 2015 on: The Diamond beneath the rough: Zimbabwe and the discerning investor.
The event being hosted by Southern Africa Investment Forum (SAIF) will be held at the Birchwood Hotel, 14c Viewpoint Hotel, Johhanesburg, 1672, South Africa on May 26 and 28.
Southern Africa Investment Forum (SAIF) is an exclusive gathering of government, academic, private sector leaders and high net worth individuals framed in order to create a platform for opportunity where business can profit from almost US$500 billion in investment potential in Southern Africa. It is a meeting of global capital and the various opportunities available in Southern Africa.
Mandiwanzira is a former journalist, media practitioner and now a politician. He was first appointed in September 2013 as Deputy Minister of Media, Information and Publicity in the Zimbabwe Government. He spearheaded and supported several projects particularly programmes on digital migration where Zimbabwe and other Southern African Development Countries are following a tight deadline to meet the International Telecommunication Union target of June 2015.
He was appointed Honourable Supa Mandiwanzira to a full Minister’s portfolio as the Minister responsible for ICT, Postal and Courier Services.
Honourable Supa Mandiwanzira brings a vast and diverse experience gained over many years working in the private and public sectors and more importantly in the realm of ICTs. He is a former Zimbabwe Broadcasting Services news anchor. He is an accomplished and successful business professional who is the proprietor of ABC Communications, a commercial media house and a radio station, ZiFM. In an interview with The Peoples Hub, (http://thepeopleshub.com/?p=2287) he has compared his ZiFM radio station to Choice FM in the UK, and says he was influenced and inspired by British mogul Richard Branson to get into business. He said he was modelling his businesses along Virgin enterprises
Mandiwanzira also held high profile business panel talking events named after his first breakthrough TV news show: ‘Talking Business’ and also his radio show: ‘Head On with Supa’. Some of the events have been streamed in real-time online, and discussed on social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook.
Minister Mandiwanzira represents a breed of entrepreneurs who are grasping the green shoots of Zimbabwe’s business growth, and have bequeathed fresh impetus to the country’s economy. With interests in media, construction, music and film, Honourable Supa Mandiwanzira represents budding business elite who create networks of several firms across a number of different sectors of the economy.
