(News Of The South) – Cristiano Ronaldo netted his 23rd La Liga hat-trick taking his tally of goals to 23 in just 13 appearances in Premera Division in a 3-0 drubbing of Celta Vigo at Santiago Bernabeu Sunday night.
The Portuguese set a new Liga record of most hat-tricks, and made it 23 strikes in 13 games this term, but unfortunately , he left the pitch later with a slight knock, amidst a standing ovation.
Madrid initially struggled to break down a resilient Celta Vigo side that was unbeaten away from home.But Ronaldo won himself a controversal spot kick to make it 1-0.This pleased Madrid fans who had been angry with Alberto Undiano Mallenco’s charges during his last visit to Bernabeu, when he gave Barcelona two penalties before sending Sergio Ramos as the Blaugrana won 4-3 im March.

Madrid fans will be hoping the injury picked is nothing more than serious as his club are back in action on Tuesday for a Champions league showdown against Ludogorets and they will be hoping to make it 19 successive wins and beat Spanish record set in 2005-06 by Frank Rijkaard at Barcelona.
