Harare, Zimbabwe. (News of The South) – The organisers of the inaugural Miss Glamorous 2018 which is going to be held in August this year said they were working tirelessly to make the event a success.
Speaking at an event held in the capital Harare, the founder of Team Big Family Chengetai Mashiringwani told journalists and models who attended the event that the entertainment group that they are leaving no stone unturned in their quest to make the pageant a world class showcase.
“I just cannot describe how much effort we are putting for the success of the Miss Glamorous beauty pageant .
“We have already identified South African modelling agencies whom we would like to mentor and groom the contestants for this pageant,” said a positive Mashiringwani.
The young entrepreneur who co-run the entertainment stable with his wife Coleen Chido Sibanda said they would beam the beauty pageant live on national television and were setting their eyes on a big venue to accommodate the large crowd they are anticipating.
“I have not decided yet on the venue of the big day but I am looking forward to a bigger venue like the HICC,” beamed Mashiringwani with confidence.
Chengetai Zvimbvatu (19), a model who works with TBF organising beauty pageants challenged models to work hard and professionally to avoid being involved in scandals.
“ I have realised that as models we need to be very hard-working and professional in our conduct so that we can make it in the industry which has been mired in scandals over the years,” she said.
This was also echoed by Tumelo Nare who is the current Miss Zimbabwe Global Supermodel 2017-2018 who said models should be appraised on their rights.
“Modelling is not about walking on the ramp but there is a lot that models need to be taught about and these include their rights to avoid being paraded in night clubs under the guise of modelling,” she said.
The entertainment group has also advanced preparations for next month’s Miss Valentine. It was founded in 2012 by Chengetai Mashiringwani a.k.a Boss Chenge while studying in Australia.
