Harare, Zimbabwe (News of the South)-British boxer Anthony Joshua squares up against WBA champion Wladimir Klitschiko on Saturday in a bout he has termed a step to greatness.
The IBF heavyweight champion, 27, faces Klitschiko in front of a record crowd of 90 000 at Wembley Stadium in the richest bout in British boxing history.
Prior to his loss to Tyson Fury in his last bout in November 2015 the Russian Klitschiko had been unbeaten for 11 years and at 41 years of age is looking for redemption when he seeks to turn back the clock of time.
Speaking to international media Joshua allayed any fears for lacking experience as he faces Klitschiko in only his 19th professional fight.
“I will always stand up to the competition. There is no fear at all which trembles through the body”
“You can talk about experience but even when I faced guys with less experience I took them as world champion fights. I have prepared since day one for this” he said.
The 30 million pound fight has also broke the record for the biggest crowd in post-war times and has been dubbed one for the history books.
Joshua and Klitschiko used to spare together.
In his more than 20 years of fighting Klitschiko has had 68 fights winning 64 of them for all total of 358 rounds whilst 2012 Olympic Gold medalist Joshua has just contested 44 rounds as a professional.
