Rising Zimbabwean male acapella ensemble Warm Praise is set to serenade acapella fans this weekend when they play host to an acapella concert dubbed “from the start” scheduled for Alliance Franciase in Harare.

The group is taking this concert on Sunday as an opportunity to celebrate the years they have been together as well as thanking their legion of followers for standing by them despite the countless challenges they faced from the group’s inception in 2011.

Kicking off at 3pm, the concert boasts an array of talented musicians billed to do what they know best in front of their followers.

The list includes the tried and tested Harare based mixed ensemble Experience, gifted with the ability to ignite a blaze whose light can draw thousands of fans not only to their unique sound but also to the contemporary acappella phenomenon as a whole, Comforters; a group comprising 4 sophisticated young men who love creativity, music, and God and Behold travelling all the way from the Midlands capital Gweru.

Solo perfomances will spice up the show with acts from Ngoni Gumbo and Karon Mutingwazi expected to set the stage alight as their prowess in the genre is unmatched.

“We have invited 3 groups to be part of the concert and there will be solo perfomances as well. I have a strong conviction that this will go down in history one concert to remember,” said Dick Moyo the Warm Praise manager.

The visibly ecstatic Moyo however bemoaned the lack of sponsorship as one hindrance that the group has faced but is confident that some people will consider sponsoring the young lads when they see them performing on Sunday.

“All groups need a strong financial base to achieve its goals and its unfortunate to say that at this juncture our group does not have the financial muscle but we are hoping for a positive response this Sunday when people see that we mean business,” added the soft spoken Moyo.

This will be Warm Praise’s first concert in the capital this year and the teenage group appears geared up for the programme.

“We are more than ready for the concert, we have practiced well and God willing we will be able to put a smiles on the faces of those who will attend as well as spiritually uplifting them,” said the group’s talented director Allan Mawarire.

Affiliated to the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Warm praise is made up of 5 talented young men who came together in 2011 with the primary aim of spreading the gospel of Christ’s second coming in song.

They are yet to go into the studio for an album but have travelled to areas like Gweru, Kadoma, Mutare and Bulawayo on a noble mission of preaching the good news through song.
