Harare, Zimbabwe. ((News of The South) –
encounter is expected at the giant National Sports Stadium this afternoon as the Harare soccer giants Caps United and Dynamos fc lock horns in what promises to be a thriller,an exciting and entertaining match with a multitudes of fans expected to throng to the stadia to witness the epic battle regardless of tickets fee hike by the host,Caps United.
Both teams are enjoying a purple perch, the form that has seen the Harare giants collecting vital points in their previous encounters. This on its own makes the derby more interesting.A challenge to the two rival coaches Lloyd Chitembwe and Lloyd Mutasa,to dig deep in order to come up with a strategy that will give them results possible maximum points.
The home team Caps United are likely to feel the pinch as they host their old enemies.Caps United have lost their key players in the recent window period, losing Abbasi Amidu,Dennis Dauda,Ronald Chitiyo and Ronald Pfumbidzai. The quatert were the key members in their quest to retain the Championship which seem to have eluded them unless if a miracle happens along the way.To make matters worse, their chief striker Dominic Chungwa will miss the derby due to suspension, also with their central defender Justice Jangano is also out of the tie.
The absence of the duo is likely to be heavily felt by the Green Machine especially the unavailability of the stocky bulldozing forward Dominic Chungwa who seem to have rediscovered his best form.
Chitembwe though, look unmoved by the striker’s suspension,he has got the arsenal to do the job for him,he is welcoming back the trickery speedy wingers Tafadzwa Rusike and Pheneas Bamusi who were sidelined by injuries.
Chitembwe will be banking on players like Hardlife Zvirekwi,Denvon Chafa,Moses Muchenje,Joel Ngodzo,Stephen Makatuka,Cabby kamhapa, young Valentine Musarurwa and their inspirational big goal keeper Edmore Sibanda.
In the absence of Chungwa,Lloyd Chitembwe is likely to thrust the Nigerian forward Abasirim Chidiebere to partner the inform John Zhuwawo or Amon Kambanje upfront.
Whilst their city rivals Dynamos fc who are the best consitent performers so far in the local premier soccer league has got a good bill of health in their camp, with their trail blazing inform captain who has been scoring goals at will is expected to lead his troops.
Dynamos is expected, according to the look of things, judging from their current form and performance,to cause all sorts of problems and dent the Caps united’s good run.It is yet to be seen whether Caps United will afford to stop the marauding Dynamos players who has been scoring a harvest of goals freely.
They mostly depend on players like the Cameroonian forward Epoupa Entouba Christian Joel,Denver Mukamba, dribbling wizardry Cleopas Kapupurika and their skipper Ocean Mushure are expected to be a thorn in the flesh in the Caps United rear guard.
Lloyd Mutasa is tremendously doing well in his rebuilding exercise,he has since came up with a balanced team that attacks and defend well.Mutasa has given Ocean Mushure a new lease of life, shifting him from the left back to a left wing attacker or sometimes a central attacker which has seen him scoring crucial goals or assisting, his combination with Epoupa is so deadly and fierce, the latter uses his strength and stamina of which he is such a dependable striker who can bang and create goals.
Lloyd Mutasa has got a stable defence that is likely to include Phakamani Dube,Lincoln Zvasiya,Godfrey Mukambi or Jimmy Kanono with the reliable defensive linkman Tichaona Chipunza likely to partner Gift Saunyama and form a twin anchoring role to give the shield to the defence.
The match can go either way but Dynamos has got a slightly edge over the Green Machine although both teams has done well in their previous assignments but Dynamos has been the better team of which they might get the better of their City rivals though they will face a fierce challenge and resistance.
