Harare, Zimbabwe. (News Of The South) ONE of Zimbabwe’s leading clothing and footwear retail shops, Edgars has revamped one of their Harare branches at Edgars Stanley House situated at the Corner of Jason Moyo and First Street in a bid to consolidate their status as a leader in the fashion business sector in the country.

Edgars last revamped their Westgate branch in 2012 but recently did it again to their Harare Central Business District branch as part of their five-year plan and strategy as the Edgars Stores Limited group to further spread their wings across all parts of Zimbabwe.

According to Rumbie Dzimba, who is the Edgars Group Marketing Executive, the latest development was aimed at positioning Edgars as a world class fashion retail outlet.

“(This) is a $450 000 investment into creating a world class shopping environment for our customers. This is in line with our Group vision of aiming to be Zimbabwe’s undisputed market leader in the clothing and footwear retail business offering quality, value and superior customer service in world class shopping environments,” explained Dzimba.

She added that Edgars – which has been in the Zimbabwean market for over 70 years – this year aims to further build customer convince and grow their clientele base by running a campaign called #foreveredgars.

According to Dzimba, Edgars had also decided to launch the Red Square, which she described as “a regional cosmetics brand that sits in our stable, where we are offering the widest cosmetics and fragrance range in the country today, all under one roof, and all available on credit – six months to pay, zero deposit and zero interest amongst the many financial services products that we offer.”

Musa Bwanali, who is Edgars Communications Liaison Officer, explained how Edgars was proud to run 26 branches which are spread across Zimbabwe, serving approximately 100 000 customers monthly.

He said with the latest revamp, Edgars hoped to peak in sales per annum, with plans to also revamp all their flagship stores within the next three years.

Collen Mupatiki, who is the branch manager of the Edgars Stanley House outlet at the Corner of Jason Moyo and First Street in Harare, where the latest launch occurred, took members of the media and other invited guests on a tour of the branch showing them the latest developments that were done there.
