A 31 year old British explorer Levison Wood is proceeding on his expedition to Jinja on Friday as he attempts to become the first man to trail the River Nile on foot.
So far he has been on the road for 47days and has covered 1000km.
Wood began the tour from Rwanda on December 4 and arrived in Kampala last weekend..
He arrived in Kampala last weekend after spending 47 days on the road and covering a distance of 1,000 km.
“I have moved from Rwanda, Tanzania and now I am in Uganda. I find everyday different,” said Wood.
Wood who has has faced several challenges on his tour said he was more worried about South Sudan due to the instability there.
“I will not go there until there is peace and when everything stabilises,” he said.
After the end of the journey, the ex-Afghanistan soldier will write a book about his voyage, entitled “Walking the Nile”.
